This Monthly News Brief follows a new format of three distinct sections: The first two sections cover 'attacks on education' and 'arrests, detentions and imprisonment' and align with the definitions of attacks on education used by the Global Coalition to Protect Education under Attack (GCPEA). The 'Education in Danger safety, security and access incidents' section follows the Aid in Danger concept of monitoring events that affect the provision of education and includes events perpetrated by students, private individuals and criminals as well as significant strike action and protests.
